The WORLD is increasingly designed to depress us. Happiness isn’t very good for the economy. If we were happy with what we had, why would we need more?
• How do you sell an anti-ageing moisturiser? You make someone worry about ageing. • How do you get people to vote for a political party? You make them worry about tax & immigration. • How do you get them to buy insurance? By making them worry about everything. • How do you get them to have plastic surgery? By highlighting their physical flaws. • How do you get them to watch a TV show? By making them worry about missing out. • How do you get them to buy a new smartphone? By making them feel like they are being left behind.
To be calm becomes a kind of revolutionary act. To be happy with your own non-upgraded existence. To be comfortable with our messy, human selves, would not be good for business.
I think sometimes people believe that worrying has some kind of productive purpose. Worry sucks all of your energy and joy out of whatever it is you’re doing. It’s human nature to worry, but when we do it constantly, we run into more problems. It may give you something to do, but you don’t get anywhere.
The next time you are worrying about something, try to remember that you aren’t always in control. Instead, do practical things like make a budget or create a schedule. Be proactive and let go of the stress. After all, it won’t change a thing. Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength.
When we look up at the sky and see the moon so far away, it seems impossible and unfathomable that a human being has actually been up there. But we live in a world where man has walked on moon. It wasn’t some magic. It’s just a dream & a decision to do. Mankind made it happen and it all started with a dream followed by a decision.
Believe in the impossible today. It may not be impossible after all. What’s your dream?
Most things that we dream about are actually achievable.
You have to be fearless about pursuing your dreams. You have to be willing to leave your comfort zone to grow not only as a human being but to push your own boundaries. I encourage anyone chasing dreams to be fearless; go into emotional areas that aren’t always comfortable or comprehensible.
Do something out of your comfort zone today. Sometimes the things that scare us help us grow.
