One of the worst things you can do with yourself is: Overthinking. Have you ever heard or experienced analysis paralysis? If you have, you know that overthinking leads to freezing up and whirring. If you want to be mentality strong & decisive, OVERTHINKING is your first enemy.
Mentally strong people choose not to give any energy to that negativity, they’d rather think critically and take logical action. Of course, they know that there are always risks and consequences no matter what choice they make. After all there is no perfect decision. Nonetheless be confident no matter what happens, you’ll be okay.
People reveal a lot about their habits & personality even without knowing they are doing so. Let’s take example for “your eating habits”. In many cases behavior experts and psychologists agree that your eating habits can divulge a lot of information about your personality.
If you eat slowly, you’re more likely to be confident composed and in control. If you tend to shove with food in your mouth quickly, you’re more likely to be hot-headed & on the flip side, you’re probably also goal-oriented and ambitious. Adventurous eaters tend to be pushy or curious risk-takers. While picky eaters are known to be anxious or neurotic and pay attention to the finer details. If you like to keep your food separate, you’re probably cautious and stubborn. Shared it because i was taking a course on human psychology. Body language of a person talks a lot, no matter how smart or mature they are.
Being independent financially & emotionally is amazing. But nobody talks about why “Spending too much time alone” is not a good thing. Everyone needs some me time once in a while and taking time to yourself can increase your physical and emotional health. But too much time alone can be a bad thing. Even introverts need some level of daily social interaction to ward off feelings of isolation. Being cooped up inside every minute of every day can cause loneliness and depression to creep up.
Call a friend, video chat with the family member or just take a walk. If you can’t remember the last time you went outside or talk to someone you could be harming your mental health. Being selt sufficient is good but being self isolated isn’t a good human trait.
Most people always start worrying too much about being nice. Before i say anything against you, let me be clear I appreciate you & your concern.
My way of thinking is little different. Kindness can affect both the giver and receiver in a positive way, but worrying about whether or not you’re nice enough can actually hurt you. Feeling anxious when you think about how others perceive you can be a huge drain on your energy. You need to remember that your needs must be met before you can give to others. If you forget to leave some mental energy for yourself, you could find yourself suffering from burnout or depression. Always first prioritise yourself.
Constantly trying to be productive is never the answer to your desire towards a better stable life. You must understand: “our culture is fast-paced and result-oriented. The consequences that most of us focus on and feel a deep need to be productive at all times even when we’re relaxing”.
The focus should be on recharging, so we can be more productive later. We rarely set aside time to just think this lack of time to reflect and process as harmful to our Mental Health. Being productive all the time or feeling like you need to be can amplify feelings of anxiety and irritability. Sometimes it’s ok to take a break.
Sharing something basic yet important today. Let’s talk about SLOUCHING. It’s not just about bad posture or bad manner. So why you must sit straight!!
The consequences of slouching are worse than merely having bad manners. It puts pressure on your spine and internal organs and influences how you feel. Sitting up straight isn’t just about having good etiquette, It’s good for your overall health and that means both physical and mental. Good posture correlates with reduced symptoms of depression, increased energy levels and a more positive attitude. Even such small things make a difference. In case you are sitting while reading this post, just sit straight.
Never ever feel like “I don’t have a choice”. No matter how tough a situation may seem, you always have choices and while you might feel overwhelmed or not brave enough to consider them all, you always have options to choose from to help you make the right choice.
You can think about what advice you would give to a friend in a similar situation or what someone you admire. You take this into account and see if you can do the same. Life is always about right choices.
“Great things comes to those who wait”. That’s true, but you have to work for it & earn it. My observation says; lazy minds always daydream about achieving great things effortlessly. You are defined by the choices you make. Your life is yours to live and nobody else can save you or live it for you. And unless you were born rich or marry rich, there’s probably not going to be a lot of handouts coming your way. Nobody knows exactly what you think or want except you and nobody will be as upset as you if you don’t achieve your goals. So don’t depend on someone else to build your dreams for you.
Be the creator of your own happiness and take responsibility for your past and present to create the future you want.
What makes people trust you? Less so than your true reliability or assets, warmth is a crucial factor in establishing trust. People are more open to trusting those who portray themselves warmly in a non-competitive and friendly truthful manner. This theory is known as stereotype content model. It suggests that people are more likely to judge people based on their warmth than anything else, even intelligence and financial status.
While knowledge and money can earn you respect, warmth will elicit trust. Earn trust with warmth.
There are a bunch of people who say & believe “LOOKS DOESN’T MATTER”. I strongly oppose that idea of “neglecting to take care of your appearance”. To some this may seem superficial. But the time and effort you put into your appearance often reflect your inherent values towards your relationship.
Let me explain; if you stop making an effort to look after yourself, it comes across as though you do not have any enthusiasm or focus on improving yourself. It also cultivates the idea that looking good for your partner isn’t of great importance to you. This lack of care could make things turn sour after a while, especially if your partner is a more focused individual who feels that self-image is an integral part of who they are. Nobody’s age number is moving backwards. Being fitness concious & fashion forward with your taste is a lifestyle choice which makes you an exciting individual. Looks does matter. A person’s aesthetics is enticing and interest in personal hygiene is a major turn on.
