(This tweet got nothing to do with the post above. Not blaming or judging anyone who’s using tinder or bumble. I never use dating apps when i am in my city of residence, i am already occupied with entertaining my people, work, workout & studies. I install tinder only when i travel alone to a new place for work or i have a connecting flight. My experience says, on first date girls in their 20s usually prefer some activities over a conversation & of course some good food. But once that date crosses to next day, it gets quite nasty because almost everyone carries a shitty past. Most of the time i block such contacts. People never understand how important it is to heal & come clean for the sake of own sanity. I can’t say anything beyond that age group. My biggest turn offs are inconsistency & lies.)

Figure out what you want to do with your life and just do it.
Dedicate a separate journal for you to write down all of your goals.
And don’t just stop at journaling, make detailed steps towards achieving them.
Stopping sitting around and half arsing your way through things because you can’t seem to find any direction,
because seriously, life is what you make it and sometimes you need to get up and force yourself to do the things you know will benefit future you.

Things like I’m still young or I’m too old are out of the question.
No matter how old you are,
what you study or where you study,
use the time you have right now to learn & hustle.
I mean really hustle.
Because you don’t want to look back and say you should’ve worked harder, trained harder, tried harder, thought harder, loved harder or fought harder.
DISCIPLINE & CONSISTENT APPROACH towards all your EFFORTS are your only two best friends in your journey.
Don’t give yourself a reason to have regrets later on in life.

Go to university, but go for the right reasons. Education isn’t a gun held to your head: it’s a weapon in your hands. Go not because you’re afraid of not getting a job but go because you love to learn, because you’re excited by ideas, because you believe that education is important for its own sake, and when you get there, pay attention, read everything you can get your hands on, cram yourself with words and figures and ideas, because that’s the one thing they can never take away from you. At the end understand Knowledge, Skills & Qualification, all are equally important parts of life.

Certain things must be kept personal no matter how clumsy life gets, two such things which bug us the most are past resentments & fears and weaknesses.

Everyone has fears and weaknesses and sharing these things will not provide you comfort. People enjoy seeing other people’s weaknesses, so don’t feed them. You can study up on your fears and weaknesses or if that isn’t working, get some professional help.

Resentments about the past or constantly digging up the past, It’s not going to help. Those past experiences can easily affect today. Do not let these define the moment you are in. The best thing you can do is to express yourself in the moment. This way you can prevent past regrets and resentments. Forgive others in order to be peaceful, move on and let go.
