Having really big dreams is wonderful. But in order to achieve them you have to start setting goals and writing them down. It’s not enough just to think about them. You have to actively pursue them. The best feeling is crossing one of your goals off your list after you’ve worked so hard to achieve a dream.
Make a list of your goals for the year. Stay focused and start making strides to cross them off your list. Set goals and dream big.
You have to be fearless about pursuing your dreams. You have to be willing to leave your comfort zone to grow not only as a human being but to push your own boundaries. I encourage anyone chasing dreams to be fearless; go into emotional areas that aren’t always comfortable or comprehensible. Do something out of your comfort zone today. Sometimes the things that scare us help us grow.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. (Not my words.)
What is the point in being alive if you are not going to try for something? If you are not going to at least attempt to make your time here remarkable? Stop holding yourself back. Tell the person that makes your stomach ache with hope that every part of your heart is tender for them, even if you think you aren’t ready. Don’t just fantasize about your dream job, actively pursue it, and if that door is not open, knock it down. Dreaming about a new business, go for it & own yourself. Got a goal? GO, Fetch it. Buy the plane ticket, climb a mountain, swim to shred after an intense workout session, surf when it’s raining, pet your canadian warmblood horse like a sweet puppy, surprise your mates & university bitches with some butt naked snapchat streaks on a beach, let your friends tease you “Aquaman minus SUPERPOWERS”, jump the fence, kiss an angel, makeout in the middle of a concert, full throttle that AMG to 150mph cruising through Autobahn while touring cross-country with your bestfriend.
Make sure that you don’t allow your fear to hold you back. Instead, look your fear in the face and invite it to dinner, become it’s friend. Live alongside it, let it make you feel alive. Just choose impossibility. Choose risk. Choose making mistakes, new mistakes, and making memories, and making it up as you go. Just choose to embrace whatever time you do have here, stay consistent on your life path, because life is finite, and fragile, and it vanishes too quickly. Just make it worth it. Make it count. Life is fun, let it be.
I hope you fall in love with being alive. I hope you read books and understand that life is so much more than expecting an apologetic text from that person you won’t remember in a couple of years. I hope you feel pursued. I hope you have the best of friends. And I even hope you get in trouble together. I hope you make fun memories and take too many pictures and scream at the top of your lungs on roller coasters. I hope you swim in the depths of the oceans. And I hope you feel the dirt underneath your fingernails when you climb mountains. I hope you know the joys of genuine laughter. I hope you know the difference between wisdom and test scores. I hope you understand that you can be anything you want to be. I hope you also understand you have to work hard to get it. I hope you stay consistent with your approach towards life. I hope you do more than sit around and complain about the things that could change. Because I hope you are the CHANGE.
I hope you journal and write every thought down. I hope you learn how to skate. I hope you eat your fruits and vegetables. I hope you treat your body well. I hope you respect your reputation. I hope you build your IDENTITY. But I also hope you have fun. In fact, I hope you have unapologetic shameless kinda fun without hurting others. Because I hope you fall in LOVE with being alive. (Not my words).
There is someone out there in the world that doesn’t have to be forced to fit into your puzzle called LIFE. Do not take the risk of settling for someone if you’re uncertain of your feelings just because you want some kind of companionship. There is someone out there who is meant for you. Leave the door open for them to come in. Until then: Focus on you.
Focus on pursuing your goals and give yourself the opportunity to make your dreams come true without being distracted by detours. Surround yourself with family, loyal loved ones and successful people, that way you’ll learn how to succeed from them. Learn to better yourself everyday by taking what they teach you and teaching what they taught you. Be patient and keep yourself busy. Allow love to catch up to you, but on its own time.
This is life, and it is what it is. Shit is gonna happen. It’s gonna get complicated. We’re gonna relapse. We’re gonna need time-outs. We’re gonna be weak. We’re gonna be strong. We’re gonna lose our shit and yell for people to get the fuck out of our lives. We’re gonna break down and beg some people to stay in our lives. Some days we’re gonna feel everything all at once. Other days, we’re gonna feel nothing at all. We’re gonna be in some bad spaces. We’re gonna be in some amazing ones. We’re gonna get on our knees crying and hurting and begging for help. We’re gonna get on our knees and pray just to say thank you. We’re gonna have moments when we know exactly what we want, and we’re sure. We’re gonna have moments when we legit have no fucking clue what we want, and we’re confused.
This life shit isn’t a movie, and I think sometimes, we forget that. Life is the way you pursue it.
Most of the time we humans hold ourselves back from pursuing our dreams because we care about the people who hurt us & moreover we consider their words in a negative emotional way. Let me talk about both and why so!!
How many times you thought “My dreams are impossible!!”. If your goals/dreams are practical/realistic enough to be pursued, never give up on them. It’s only you who knows own strengths & weaknesses. Don’t let someone else’s negative experience stop you from going after what you want. Follow your heart and take risks, don’t stick with the safe and easy choices just because you’re afraid of taking a leap of faith. Your dreams are not impossible and they should be bigger than your fears. Sticking to your vision will eventually beat to progress and yield the results you desire.
Sometimes we do feel “I am stuck with people who hurt me”. Never entertain those who walk over your sanity. Your life is precious and too short not to look out for yourself. Have enough self-respect & self-love to distance yourself from those who constantly mistreat you and bring you down. It may be tough and hurt for a while but everything will be ok, more importantly you’ll be ok. Walking away from a bad situation doesn’t make you weak, it makes you strong. Leaving means acknowledging that it’s not about them seeing your worth, but you realizing your own worth.
In this post i am talking about action of collective efforts to create a collective effect in all aspects. It’s true that you will eventually reap what you sow, but we should also realise that our individual decisions & actions become our eventual contribution to society. All of our intention & action create massive energy that creates major effects for all. This energy is eventually transmitted into our society and the world at large. So make sure your action creates value & inspiration to others. Make concious effort to be good to people. Pursue your goals and passion step by step. Lead by example.
Whether you believe in Karma or not, I usually talk about fundamental principles of life which can help you be a better human. I hope your parents, friends, society and even your God expects that from you. To live a life of impact you genuinely desire mastering your skills and knowledge about gratitude, effort, action, selflessness & happiness. They all combined will help you reach a life of fulfillment. The best reward is the one that contributes to the whole.
OK. Enough of this confusion. When your blood is connected to a land called INDIA; you only get two options for college, either you become a doctor or an engineer. I failed to get good ranks for medicines, so I did engineering & became an ENGINEER. Now don’t ask me why.
After that I did a job with an MNC for a year. Felt like I want something else. I had enthusiasm towards business skills, so desires pushed me for an MBA. Private education is all about money. You can say; I bought myself an MBA degree with adequate amount efforts/studies because I desperately wanted it. Now I am busy with business which is fulfilling my desires & helping me earn more than what I spend. Next step is little bigger than what I am, stop questioning & keep watching me.
