Their stories, their thoughts. The memories. The secrets that lay dormant in their head, waiting to be told. I find all of it so interesting. Cause I have been through a lot. And I am just fascinated by other’s struggles. Everyone has their own struggle. I love learning about someone’s life. How they came to be the person they are today, why they act or talk the way they do. It’s just very interesting.
You will live this life with that identity only once. Remain CONSISTENT on your path. Be the most authentic version of yourself, no matter what the world tells you to be.
Instead of saying “I’m lazy,” saying “I’ve made a habit of not doing work unless it’s absolutely necessary.” Instead of saying “I’m a bad friend,” saying “I haven’t communicated as much as I should with the people I care about.”
By being specific about your problems, and by framing it as an action that you are consciously either working on or ignoring rather than an unchangeable part of who you are, you allow yourself to accept your mistakes and work constructively on them instead of pretending they didn’t happen or wallowing in blaming yourself.
Honestly I think one of the most empowering things you can do for yourself is to separate your negative qualities from your identity. (Not my words.)
I hope you fall in love with being alive. I hope you read books and understand that life is so much more than expecting an apologetic text from that person you won’t remember in a couple of years. I hope you feel pursued. I hope you have the best of friends. And I even hope you get in trouble together. I hope you make fun memories and take too many pictures and scream at the top of your lungs on roller coasters. I hope you swim in the depths of the oceans. And I hope you feel the dirt underneath your fingernails when you climb mountains. I hope you know the joys of genuine laughter. I hope you know the difference between wisdom and test scores. I hope you understand that you can be anything you want to be. I hope you also understand you have to work hard to get it. I hope you stay consistent with your approach towards life. I hope you do more than sit around and complain about the things that could change. Because I hope you are the CHANGE.
I hope you journal and write every thought down. I hope you learn how to skate. I hope you eat your fruits and vegetables. I hope you treat your body well. I hope you respect your reputation. I hope you build your IDENTITY. But I also hope you have fun. In fact, I hope you have unapologetic shameless kinda fun without hurting others. Because I hope you fall in LOVE with being alive. (Not my words).
Once in a while i talk about the flip sides of comfort zone. The darkest side of being stuck in your COMFORT ZONE is; “You could lose your individuality”. When you live your entire life inside your comfort zone, you easily become lost in the crowd without an inner guiding light. You become just another sheep walking with the herd. When you break away from the masses, It might feel uncomfortable but that is the space where you can find fulfillment through growth and connection. Unless you retain your individuality, you won’t make a difference in the world. Capitalize on your potential or learn new things. Once you release yourself from the prison of comfortability, you’ll start to see new and better opportunities and you’ll be able to take advantage of them. Other people will notice how you move forward through life and they will look up to you for guidance and inspiration. Instead of being just another follower, you empower yourself to carve your own path and Lead others toward their greatness as well.
So many people trap themselves within the confines of their comfort zones, for some it’s merely a habit, others never leave because they let their irrational fears dictate their lives, these people condemn themselves to a reality full of frustration and regret. Don’t let that be you although it seems scary to venture out of your comfort zone. You need to take the first steps. If you practice pushing the boundaries of your comfort zone, you’ll become comfortable with the unfamiliar. Then you can jump into drastically different territory of surprises & happiness. It’s the opportunity to become a better version of yourself & create an IDENTITY which can’t be replicated.
(Most of the time you see people spreading this message as a quote from bible. Some also say it’s against God’s grace. This reference is found in Bible, Quran & Jewish teachings as well. The fun part is, they all are wrong about it’s origin. It’s a motto/phrase originated from ancient greece way before any major religion was born. This quote emphasizes on importance of self-initiative efforts.)
Focus on your work, because your work is your responsibility & identity. Tap OUT..🤗
It’s better to be an original version of yourself than an exact duplicate of someone else. People respect individuals who are original. Too many people try too hard to be someone else they are not. And in the end, they don’t have a sense of identity.
Discover who you are and what you stand for. What the world needs are more people who are true to themselves, not clones of each other. Be yourself.
Being bad is ok, it’s solvable at some point. But being in denial isn’t right, someday it’s gonna blow up nasty & every negativity drags us down quickly. People who run away from themselves can’t stand for anything that’s legitimate, reason behind it is own moral flaws.
Nobody expects you to be a perfect human being. Learn to accept yourself for what you are, that’s what makes you build your own identity. Be yourself.
Put your all into yourself & be shameless about it. You are your only priority. You value yourself, people will value you the same. Your work is your identity. If your work isn’t at right place, you are in a identity crisis.
If we want a kite to soar high, we need to loosen our grip on the strings that’s in our hands. How high that kite flies depends on how much freedom you can give! The more we let it loose, the higher it can soar.
“Just like caring someone, we need to let the other person explore, live a life away from us for a while, do things without us and make own decisions. This will help them discover their own identity and their own power. This will also allow them to fulfill their own KARMA, doesn’t matter good or bad. More importantly we need to encourage & support our partner in pursuing a life independent of us. They need to have their own friends, hobbies, activities & properties or belongings.”
Let’s not expect the other person to stick by our side in every aspect of our life all the time. This is the same freedom we seek for ourselves. Remember KARMA is individual. No-one else can help us fulfill it. It’s nothing but nurturing an idea, we need to let our idea go into places even if it’s scary. Let our ideas branch out into things we didn’t initially intend to explore whether it’s entering a new market for our product or partnering with someone that might add to the greatness of our idea. We need to give our ideas a chance to reach it’s full potential.
IF YOU LOVE IT, SET IT FREE. IF IT’S OURS, IT WILL ALWAYS RETURN BACK HOME.
A kite flies as far and high as you let it go.
