The ATTITUDE of “that’s just how I am, take it or leave it” is still a sign of immaturity.
As an adult, it’s your responsibility to figure out which of your traits are toxic and are negatively impactful towards other people and the ones you love, and to eventually learn how to fix them.
At some point, we all gotta start making ourselves better individuals.
If you truly believe you don’t have to change anything about yourself, even at the very least the worst in you, and that people will just have to deal with it, then sorry, you’re still a child & your attitude is a childish nonsense.
Every morning, we get a chance to be different.
A chance to change.
A chance to be better.
Your past is your past.
Leave it there.
Get on with the future part.
Your entire life can really change in a year.
You just gotta love yourself enough to know you deserve more.
Be brave enough to demand more.
And be disciplined enough to actually work for more.
If you are serious about the change in your life that you desire, you must be willing to go through uncomfortable situations.
That’s the only way to grow.
When I was fighting depression, I remember hearing this expression and not understanding it at first.
When I decided to implement it in my life, a whole new world opened up for me.
Change the negative, self-loathing thoughts to positive, self-affirming ones.
When you’re positive about yourself and everything around you, you begin to see the world in a different light.
Your life today is what you make of it.
Be mindful of the tone of your thoughts.
Change your thoughts, change your life.
(Not my words.)
Each one of us is born with a unique and remarkable gift that’s not only meant to change our lives but the greater world around us.
I know this to be true because I’ve witnessed it throughout my life.
Whatever your strengths are, they may be something that someone else wishes they had.
So use your gifts wisely and you will be amazed how much you can inspire others.
Inspire someone today just by being yourself.
The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.
Life is fun, let it be.
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of ATTITUDE on life.
Attitude, to me is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill.
It will make or break a company, a church, a school, a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past.
We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.
We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.
And so it is with you, we are in charge of our ATTITUDE.
If you’re feeling down, ask yourself “what’s wrong with this moment?”
Chances are that you’re upset about something that happened in the past or you’re anticipating something that might happen in the future.
But is there anything wrong with this exact moment?
So stop worrying.
And if there is something wrong with this exact moment, there’s only 3 things you can do to fix it:
REMOVE yourself from the situation,
or ACCEPT it.
(This video got nothing to do with the post above. I own a health supplement business in Bangalore, i know how making it big in India at current market scenario is way more easier & exciting compared to UK or USA. It’s an developing economy & emerging markets are always choice of investors. Yes INEQUALITY is an issue, but there’s way more beyond to that side of the story.)
