People going through DEPRESSION are overly emotional. Depression develops the tendency to bottle up emotions, but those emotions don’t disappear. Instead they overflow at the slightest inconvenience. If someone becomes volatile over small things, it could be because depression overwhelms them with emotions. They might cry, become angry or even have an emotional breakdown in response to something. Most people would normally brush-off.

If you are going through DEPRESSION, talk about it & consult a medical professional in worst case. We all have been through this, everything in your life good or bad pushes you towards your purpose slowly but surely.

This thing called “Humble bragging” must stop & please don’t do it if you are reading this. Many people have a way of bragging while pretending to be modest. This is called humble bragging. You’ve heard them before, the girl who makes fun of her ridiculous diet when she wants to draw attention to her attractive figure or the guy who complains about how terribly he plays when he wants to make you aware of.

Such people use self-deprecation to hide their boasting but others can see through this. This behavior is especially dislikable because they are not only bragging but they are also trying to deceive others.

The one quality of a truly honest person i adore the most & that distinguishes them from rest random crowd: “They have a calm and consistent speaking voice”. One of the easiest telltale signs of lying is a loud voice. When you catch someone in a lie, they’ll often raise their voice in defense as a way to establish power.

Honest people rarely become defensive when they’re asked questions, even if those questions seem accusatory in nature. When an honest person replies, their tone of voice is calm and consistent since there is no possible way they’ll be found out. They have nothing to worry about. There is no reason to lie or make up a story. There’s nothing to hide. TRUTHFUL & CONSISTENT, that’s all it takes to be a GOOD HUMAN.

It’s been a while i am writing about mental health in this evening post. I try to talk about as many good/bad scenarios i have came across. Insomnia is a major issue in current young generation. Not getting enough sleep is not new. Insomnia is no joke and after some time of tossing and turning in bed, it’s easy to turn on the TV or grab your phone or tablet. But before you decide to give in, remember that skimping on sleep can seriously harm your mental health.

Sleep deprivation can cause all kinds of problems from trouble staying focused to increased irritability. And if you struggle with mental illness not getting enough sleep and make things even worse, the next time you can’t sleep put on some soothing music or try a guided meditation to help you relax. Our human body is enginnered in such a way that we need 7-8 hours healthy happy sleep every night for our optimum performance.

Comparing yourself to others is a toxic human trait which does nothing but resulting in poor self-confidence. Perfection is an impossible idea and while it’s easy to say that “it’s okay to make mistakes” and “nobody’s perfect”. Sometimes it’s harder to apply those ideas to yourself. When you compare yourself to others, you’re doing everyone an injustice. If you focus on what makes you unique like your skills and potential only in comparison to other people, there will always be someone who outdoes you and you’ll always end up feeling bad.

Instead concentrate on where you are in your path of growth everyone learns different things at different paces at different times in their lives. Where you’re at is just as valid as where everyone else is.

Financial stress can impact our mental health badly. Most of us either suffer or have suffered from the problem of “not keeping a budget”. If you don’t budget, you could be spending more than you’re making without even knowing it. It’s totally normal to stress about money, after all having enough means having security. But financial stressors are also one of the worst things when it comes to your mental health.

Budgeting is about keeping track of what you spend, but it’s also about changing your habits. If money causes you daily worry, you need to take advantage of the power you have to reduce or eliminate your financial issues. If you want to improve your mental health, consider lessening the amount of money you spend on wants, negotiating your bills for lower rates and creating an emergency fund. Financial stability is a major step towards healthy happy mindset.

If you live with a belief that “LIFE SHOULD ALWAYS BE SMOOTH SAILING”, first you gotta work for it. Then when you meet failures, never get caught up in the thought that “things will never get better”.

Rarely is life a smooth sail. It has ups and downs and part of living is experiencing setbacks, negative emotions and making mistakes, what dictates the kind of person you become. However, it’s not the problems you face, but how you deal with them and learn from them. When it seems like all hope is lost, you’ve got to remember that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Today may be the worst day of your life, but tomorrow could be the best. You’ve just got to get there. The biggest lesson of life is; keep working on yourself.
